Avoiding foul weather
Posted 07.26.04 at 9:00 pm
Location: Transiting toward Atka Pass, en route to the second dive site, north of Atka Island.
Socked in with fog, we are surrounded by dark, rolling waves that we can feel all too well. Onboard, the ship is quiet as science team members try to catch up on sleep in preparation for the next Jason II dive, scheduled for 3 a.m.
