Help count birds Feb. 18-21

Take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count.  It’s fun, it’s easy, and you’ll be helping scientists track bird mid-winter populations by participating in this count.  Not as formal as the Christmas Count, families and individuals may count on their own using simple guidelines and report what they see via the Internet.  After participating in this project, you’ll be notified of how to participate in other citizen science programs.

Count any or every day from February 18-21.  Count at least 15 minutes up to several hours, then go “on line” to report your sightings.   Reporting instructions are clear and easy to navigate.

Feel free to contact me if you need more information or assistance with reporting.

With thanks from Audubon... and the birds!
