Alvin Returns to Gulf of Alaska Seamounts
The deep-diving research sub Alvin is in Alaska waters again for the third time since 1999.
The Gulf of Alaska Seamount Expedition departed Seattle July 29 to explore five undersea volcanoes and study deep sea marine life. Visit the NOAA Ocean Explorer site for dive updates.
